WOAH!!!!

It's apparently been a while, again... how does time seem to get away from me? I know, because I am a mommy now! Zena is doing great, as you can see... This is one of her latest photos. She tends to bark at the camera lately.

Maybe she wants me to stop taking her picture, but that's not gonna happen. I love taking her picture, and really, she is a model. Zena recently graduated puppy kindergarten. There's a pic of her in her hat, but she didn't really like that cap. So the pictures aren't the best.

Tim and I are doing great. The summer has been busy. Tim's been traveling a lot for work lately, leaving me home alone with Zena (SINGLE MOM!). But we manage. I miss him when he's gone, which some days feels like a lot. He's traveling now but will be home in a few days. We're off to Green Bay, WI next weekend to catch a Packers-Bills preseason game. I am so looking forward to it! Tim refers to Lambeau Field as Mecca... so apparently, I will be in Mecca next Saturday. I will add pictures after that adventure.

I broke a few toes recently when a chair mysteriously appeared in my way in the office last weekend. My poor baby toe was not straight after that chair got in my way.

Other than that, summer is nearing the end, despite the rise in temperatures. I am looking forward to the fall, Zena getting bigger and less like a puppy, the cooler weather, the colors (if we get any since there hasn't been much rain).

That's all for this post.
Hugs and kisses!

Our New Addition

While she isn't a baby, she is a puppy and a very young one to make her almost like a human baby. And oh the work. But, I am in love with her already and it hasn't been a week yet. Her name is Zena (very similar to the Warrior Princess). She's a handful right now, but we are quite certain she will grow to be a muscle dog, thus Zena. She's an American Staffordshire Terrier. And when you look at her, how can you resist?!?!

Tim and I have been super busy with her... I wasn't sure she liked me... but take notice that she is sitting with me... and within minutes, she was sleeping in my arms. I do believe I have become a mommy. She even thinks she's a lap dog... what will I do when she's 50 lbs of solid muscle?

I know when Rachel reads this she will be shaking her head knowing she advised me against getting a dog right now, but I am very happy with Zena, love her to pieces. Tim and I are trying to stay positive that the housebreaking process goes smoothly. Feel free to offer suggestions on helping us with this.

Zena is my first puppy ever. I remember we had a poodle or something like that when I was a kid, I think I was 6 when we got rid of him. So, Zena is all new to me. Tim is the "expert" but I think Zena is teaching us a lot!

I will add pictures as she grows and keep you updated on the housebreaking. Right now we are at ground zero. I guess it can only be uphill now!

Is it really April already?

And apparently I can't keep up with this any better than I did when I created it a year ago... I will try very hard to get better at this... today I am sneaking an entry in while at work, so no photos to add right now, but I will try later.

The latest news for Disney and Bones is that our new niece arrived March 3. Jessica Nicole finally made her appearance and as her bib said this past weekend, she was worth the wait. She's beautiful and so precious. John, Jen and Jason are adjusting, I suppose Jason has the most adjusting to do as the big brother, but he says he really loves her. We went home this past weekend for her Christening, which she slept through, and I was asked to be her Godmother. I was thrilled. I have 3 beautiful Goddaughters now. I am blessed.

Easter was amazing! We hosted at our house and almost all of the family came. We had 3 sittings for dinner, which worked out perfect. My sister Jenny and her family went downtown to the zoo and other DC attractions so they had the last seating of the day at 7:30P. Tim and I enjoyed an afternoon meal with our parents. And the rest of our friends and family ate around 6:00P. So overall, it was great. I spent the entire weekend cooking! I have a HUGE appreciation for my mom feeding all of us when we were kids and for the Sunday dinners I miss so much. We are NOT a small crew!

Other than that, we are busy with trying to decide on a family dog. We don't have kids yet, but we want the doggie. Ok, I want the doggie. We just can't decide on a breed or whether or not to get a puppy or rescue a dog... stay tuned!

Back to work I go... I will add more later, and hopefully pictures tonight!

hugs and kisses!

Freezing in Virginia

We had snow yesterday and ice last night. It's so pretty outside, but I hate driving in it. I decided to take today and stay home where I am better off than panicking on the roads. Tim appreciates those thoughts too. He thinks I am a wuss, and I am ok with that.

Let's see, what's been going on here. I guess the biggest thing is Tim is working again, YAY! We are adjusting to that in our lives now. It's great that we have 2 pay checks again, but the hours suck for both of us, and the commute too. If only we could win the lotto.
We are looking into getting a dog. Yep, I have become a dog person. I am the one more eager to get a dog than Tim is. I will definitely keep things updated on that project.

Not much else to share today, but I will add some new pictures and thoughts later.

Hugs and kisses!
